Santa Cruz celebrates its founding holiday joy to own a fully rooted commemoration among its inhabitants, who at this time are reunited with their past and their traditions extol, around the symbol that names the city. With the arrival of May, the “party of the people”, as the historian Alejandro Cioranescu renamed it, referring to the ancient bond of celebration with the locals, brings together people of Santa Cruz about a varied program of activities that have a unique identity.
PROGRAM MAY PARTY
Autonomous bodies of Events, Sports and Culture, together with the Development Society, the Municipal Social Welfare Institute (IMAS) and the Special Committee on Claims and suggestions have helped in shaping the program, which brings together more than one hundred activities aimed at the whole family.

Talking of May is talking of flowers, scents, colors and flavors of the land, traditions, spring and especially party. The festivities commemorating the founding of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and annually impregnated with essentially every corner of our city. QUEEN PARTY PROGRAM MAY 2014
A total of 28 candidates, representing various recreational and charities, neighborhood associations, social and cultural and undertakings in the Havana municipality, aspiring to become Queen of the May Festival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2014.
The gala will be offered live for the first time to the entire archipelago, by TVE Canarias on Saturday 26 April from the Place de la Candelaria.
